Squadron partner Holly Zuelle shared the good news with me today that the Classic Cinema Vault channel will be opening for business soon in final form at ovnio.ai

The channel will offer a constant channel feed which will change once a week, with new serial chapters posted in each session.

THE EVIL EYE is a likely candidate for broadcast there as are THE RETURN OF CHANDU and ADVENTURES OF TARZAN as well as THE LONE RANGER, DAREDEVILS OF THE WEST, and other Serial Squadron favorites.

The VAULT OF HORRORS anthology series will also be shown on the channel weekly or as new "volumes" are completed.

This is a semi-interactive channel/site which allows members to interact, and this may be fun if a time is scheduled weekly for a group view & chat meeting.

The channel requires a signup but will be free with ads, with a subscription option, and "buyable" titles as well.

The best feature though will be new serial episodes every week, just as they were meant to be seen.

EVIL EYE or other new episodes from Squadron restorations will be posted as completed.

It will also be possible to order Blu-Rays and even food while you are tuned into the channel, from the site.

The host for the channel will be actress/channel producer Holly Zuelle who yes really does look like that, really does like serials and will appear in costume.

Who says we don't care about you, fans?

Content from the SERIAL SQUADRON CLIFFHANGER ARCHIVE, as restored by yours truly, will also be shown in addition to serials, features and cartoons from the CALDWELL FAMILY ARCHIVE and rare period features and b-movies from the GREAT TEXAS FILM ARCHIVE in Dallas as well.

"Movie Mike" Olshan, raconeteur and conventioneer, is likely also to host programs from his own eclectic archive of media-madness. His commentaries are always entertaining as he has been around a long time and is willing to share plenty of interesting movie-related stories, sometimes about people he actually knew when they were in the business.

We welcome all our partners in this new venture and hope you will all benefit from it.

The goal here is to mix cliffhanger serials with other content you may not have seen before, in new transfers/restorations, and keep it going as long as possible.

I will note also that content playing on the channel won't be able to be copied, so that means once it's running that may be the only way you will be able to see it, just like old time TV used to be before the Betamax and VHS videotape recorders killed all that fun.

The host channel will be on ovnio.ai and is being loaded up now; Holly will probably post here when it's up and running and tell you about membership.

It does require you to fill out some information before you start watching but the questions asked about advertising preferences are just that, there so that you can be shown ads that might be of interest rather than ones that might not be, and are all optional. I've suggested to her that be noted on the sign-in page so people will understand.

We will also be open to taking advertising on the site, which will help with much-needed revenue at the Squadron.
