LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT (LIVE!)

This is the auction link, duration 7 days till Monday February 26
LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT PRODUCTION RIGHTS

Has Roger Balfour been murdered? We thought so — but his body isn't in his tomb! Whose is the mysterious voice that calls out to innocent Lucy Hamlin in the night? And what will Inspector Burke and Sir James Hamlin discover when they break in to the decaying Balfour mansion under cover of darkness? Who are the mysterious Man in the Beaver Hat (with fanged teeth) and the flying "Bat Girl" who buy Balfour Mansion? Are they vampires?

The audience will find out when they see this play on stage — or your filmed version of it — which is set up to resemble the experience of seeing a silent film in a theater, complete with an organist underscoring scenes and providing transitions between them.

Be the first to produce the new theatrical version of the long-lost mystery/horror film LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT Live on Stage OR obtain the film rights to the new script which are available in this auction.

This play
/screenplay is adapted from the known-to-exist source content for the 1927 film — which includes content adapted from the original prose story, shooting script, continuity script and existing still photos from this famously lost film — some elements of which were originally contradictory because the original production went through several revisions before the final film was released. The video "restoration" viewable on YouTube of this film is not at all complete and is missing most of the action in the middle of the story in which the apparent vampires menace Lucy inside her house, and the detective and Lucy's father and boyfriend open Balfour's tomb then view weird activities in the Balfour mansion then break into are is all missing from it. So the story of LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT has up to this point for a long time needed to be fully reconstructed and no such thing up until this point has ever existed — until now.

Playwright/director, artist, composer and film restorationist Eric Stedman, who has been publishing plays and restoring silent and early sound films for 24 years (
www.serialsquadron.com, www.vanishingshadows.com, www.ericstedman.com) has synthesized the content from all these original sources in this new script, finally made it all make sense and set it all up in a way that is sure to please all audiences.

We may never be able to watch the original film, but seeing a newly filmed version, or the characters live onstage in front of you may make up for that! If they could do it with PHANTOM OF THE OPERA on Broadway, we — or YOU — could do it with LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT!
