Swords of
Adventure!
A sumptuous collection of
99 Stories and about 45 Hours of
content
Dozens of period epics for fans of the
sword and cape opera everywhere! Most of these tracks have
been fully restored and commercials and filler removed from
radio broadcasts. Lots of big stars in this collection --
Basil Rathbone, Leslie Howard, Ronald Colman and more. Of
particular interest is a recording of Basil Rathbone as
Robin Hood, not Sir Guy of Guisborne! The musical programs
originated for the most part from The Railroad Hour and are
excellent condensations of these operettas. "Popeye Meets
Robin Hood" is quite funny and the "Knights of the Round
Table" adaptation very dramatic and memorable. All for one
and one for all!

streets of Paris are awash in blood. Sir Percy Blakeney, an
English gentleman who poses as a fop (predating Don Diego
Vega and Bruce Wayne by many years), assembles a secret
society to rescue the falsely accused from the guillotine
during the "reign of terror." His identity known only to
his agents, the rest of society, and his arch enemy, French
Republican Chauvelin -- know of him only as "The Scarlet
Pimpernel." They seek him here, they seek him there --
those Frenchies seek him everywhere. Is he in heaven, is he
in hell? That damned elusive pimpernel! Over 25 hours of
