Time was indeed of the essence in Irwin Allen's fondly
remembered 1966-67 sci-fi series. James Darren and Robert
Colbert starred as Tony Newman and Doug Phillips,
scientists with a secret government program whose
experiments sent them "helplessly toward a new fantastic
adventure somewhere along the infinite corridors of time."
Lee Meriwether, Whit Bissell also starred. The first 15
episodes--including "Rendezvous with Yesterday," "One Way
to the Moon," "Devil's Island," "The Alamo," and
"Invasion"--are featured in a four-disc set. The science
here is wacky but the ambitiousness and energy of the
series shine through. Each episode ends with a cliffhanger,
so in a way this is like a deluxe triple-length-episode
