“LOST” & RARE 35mm PROJECTS
To be completed in approximately this order depending on the level of contributions reached

RARE SERIAL PROJECTS: We’d also like to follow up on some very special projects this year, including the long-unseen serials THE EVIL EYE (1920), and THE GREEN ARCHER (1925) and have some transfers of 35mm prints of some beloved Republic serials run, including a new 4K HD transfer of a 35mm print of ZORRO’S FIGHTING LEGION.

These projects will all be costly and possibly not bring in a lot of revenue and that is why they are being listed last in the sequence of works to be restored here. The projects are very worthwhile however, for historical purposes, and ought to be worked on. But we will need additional funding to get them completed and out.

Contrary to any other reports, THE GREEN ARCHER does exist virtually complete, and could be fully restored by combining footage held in 2 archives. One of which has agreed to do a transfer of the majority of the serial from the original nitrate — for $10,000. KING OF THE MOUNTIES also exists with complete picture and audio, in the hands of a private collector who may be able to be talked into a loan of the print for $15,000.

THE GREEN ARCHER is definitely possible as permission to create a transfer of the majority of the serial has been agreed upon. Whatever funds come in from this pledge drive over the listed amounts will be applied to acquisitions of print loans or transfers or other work on whatever content can be arranged for of such titles or other similar unseen or desirable serial content accessible from archives or private collections.
